Privacy Policy

This policy says what personal information OK Veggies collects when you use okveggies.com.ng, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to ask us to correct or delete it.

What we collect

We collect what we need to take and deliver an order:

• Your name, email address and phone number. A guest order needs an email address so the confirmation can be sent.
• The delivery details: who will receive the order, their phone number, the address, the area, and any landmark you give us.
• The order itself, the prices, how you chose to pay, and whether it was paid.
• A payment reference from Paystack when you pay online. Paystack takes the card or bank payment. We do not receive or store your card number.
• If you create an account, a protected form of your password. We cannot read the password back.
• Messages you send on the contact form, and photographs you attach to a delivery report.
• A short record of the IP address on a contact form or a report, so we can slow down misuse. We do not use it to advertise to you.

If you open WhatsApp from the site, that conversation is on WhatsApp, and WhatsApp's own terms apply there.

We do not buy lists of people, and this site does not use advertising cookies.

Why we use it

We use your details to:

• take, pack, deliver and receipt your order;
• take a payment, a deposit, a balance, a refund or agreed credit;
• send the order emails: order placed, payment received, on the way, delivered;
• handle a cancellation or a report that something was not right;
• answer a message you sent us;
• keep the records our accounts require;
• protect the shop against fraud and misuse.

We email you about your order. We do not send marketing email.

Who sees it

• Paystack, to take an online payment.
• The driver on that run, who needs the name, phone number and address for the delivery and nothing else.
• The service that sends our order emails.
• Our host, so the site can run.
• A professional adviser, or an authority, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your details. We do not give them to other customers. We do not publish your order.

How long we keep it

We keep the order, the payment record and the delivery address for 10 years to meet our accounting duties.

A contact message stays while we are handling it, and for long enough afterwards to see what was said.

There is no delete button on the account page. Write to hello@okveggies.com.ng and ask. Your data can be permanently cleared from our servers at your request. We will delete what we are free to delete. We will keep the order and payment records the law requires us to keep.

Cookies

The site uses one session cookie so you can stay signed in and so the basket survives a refresh. It is not an advertising cookie. If you block it, sign-in and the basket will not work.

What you can ask us

Write to hello@okveggies.com.ng to:

• see the details we hold about you;
• correct a name, phone number or address;
• ask us to permanently clear your data from our servers (subject to the legal records we must keep);
• object to a use that is not needed to finish your order.

We will reply. We will not charge you to correct a mistake.

Children

This shop is for adults placing a household or business order. We do not knowingly collect information from a child.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will be on this page. An order already placed keeps the policy that was published when you placed it, for that order.
